I know it’s late but I haven’t gone to bed yet so I really think it counts…
A post on Facebook inspired tonight’s post.
Now I ask you, what about that picture is genuinely appealing?
I see a lot of $$$ myself because I can just see that has lawsuit written all over it.
I ask you..
…When did a human life become an acceptable loss?
…When did a human life become a margin for error?
…When did a human life become worth less than a headline?
I’m not going to go into details on all of the sickening stories I’ve read over the years about horrific “accidents” that happen at amusement parks all over the world every day. If you really want to know, you can google it.
And I’m not going to be all high and mighty and tell you I’ve never been on a roller coaster or a water slide.
Because I have.
But I’ll tell you this, I won’t go on another one. It’s not worth my life. And it’s not worth teaching my kids that reckless, thoughtless behavior is OK.
Because its not.
You never know when it will be “the last time” when you do something stupid.
And on that note, I’ll say goodnight.

JC, thanks for speaking up!
I wish more people would stop taking stupid chances, just for a momentary thrill.
