NaNoWriMo started Friday, which means we were immediately launched into a weekend. I’m sure I’m not the only one who had a great weekend of word counts.
However, Monday dawned bright and much too early with me dreaming crazy things during the night that left me feeling so worn out, it was more like I hadn’t slept at all.
Add a visit from grandpa, a messy apartment and a minor injury into the mix and you get the day I had yesterday, in which I acquired 2,000 words UNDER my own personal daily goal for NaNoWriMo.
Which makes me think I was brilliant to set such a high daily goal.
So, instead of being behind by 1,000 words, I’m still ahead of the game. Albeit a bit ticked off that I didn’t make my personal goal and, with it being so high and needing 2,000 extra words to catch it up, I don’t think it’s feasible to catch up.
However, I’m not giving in quite so easy. I’m giving it everything I’ve got.
I have time to catch up. And I’m hoping a couple of extra early-morning sessions just might do the trick which is why I was up at 6:30 today instead of 7:30. Blech!
I am not a morning person…
