Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find the perfect image of someone who exists only in your head…?
Even once you figure out who looks the most like that person, you have to find an image that fits the person they are in your novel… NOT easy given the genre and setting of mine.
Introducing… His Royal Highness,
Crown Prince Dvarius Regald Maxillan Fortine IV
Dvarius was not ready to take the crown, nor was he ready for a wife . . . but due to his father’s unexpected death and an archaic law — he must find a bride before he is allowed to take his rightful place on the throne.
And the one woman he wants — just might be the one who is there to kill him…
Dvarius’ story is one we have seen so many times… lost his father at a very young age, thrust into ruling a country scrambling to recover from decades of war, with an emotionally distant mother who is having difficulty dealing with her own grief, and forced into finding a wife long before he is ready for it – in order to take the crown.
But who is the man underneath the crown?
Well… you’ll have to read the book (well, actually the entire series) to figure that out because there are many layers to our young prince.
But in the meantime — here are a few basic stats for you to relish:
Age – 22
Hair – brown
Eyes – brown
Height – 6’1″
Build – lean but muscular
Personal Details – Calm, controlled, diplomatic, has a VERY strong relationship with God – despite his advisors urging, wears a lot of Red… even though it is not a “royal” color.
Dvarius is probably my favorite male character to-date; initially I had a very different actor in my mind’s eye while writing, but due to his age and build — not to mention other things that became clear to me as I wrote the novels — I went in another direction when I went searching for a picture to go with this character bio.
