Life After E.L.E by JC Morrows, A Review

This young adult dystopian book has a familiar feel but its own unique story. Readers who enjoyed Divergent or Jill Williamson’s Safe Lands series should like this one too. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the tale drew me right in. The suspense and danger portrayed keep the reader pressing on to see what will happen next. The people left on earth after a catastrophic event now live in caves, and each person is assigned to certain work. This novel focuses on Eve, who lost her father and wonders what lies beyond the gates. She struggles to find her place in society and to figure out what’s going on behind the scenes. The characters and plot are intriguing, with tension ramping us as the story unfolds. The conclusion leaves readers longing for the next installment. Although written for youth, older readers may enjoy it too…
